The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has announced that Mr Kenneth Wong has been appointed General Manager of MICE (meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions) and Cruise with effect from 1 December 2012. Prior to his appointment, Mr Wong was Head of Product Marketing at the HKTB head office in Hong Kong. In his new role, he will oversee the formulation and implementation of business strategies of the Meetings and Exhibitions Hong Kong (MEHK) Office, and develop strategic plans to grow the cruise business in Hong Kong. HKTB Executive Director Mr Anthony Lau said: “Ken has been with the HKTB for more than a decade. He has contributed significantly to the development of the overall brand strategies for our destination and the formulation of a comprehensive digital marketing framework to maximise the effectiveness of our efforts in communicating to consumers worldwide. “I am confident that with his extensive experience, his expertise in marketing and knowledge of the tourism trade, as well as his commitment to excellence and innovation, Ken, along with his team, will work hand in hand with our friends of the trade to further drive the growth of the MICE and cruise businesses in Hong Kong.” |
