Australian travel agents and customers have been reminded to check recently updated US travel requirements in order to successfully pass the check-in process. According to Hawaii Airlines, travel to the US now requires Australian passport holders to complete the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ESTA) online and also keep their ESTA documentation on hand to present at check-in. The ESTA must be completed online at least 72 hours prior to travel to the US, and once completed travellers will receive a travel authorisation numbers, which must now be presented when checking-in at the airport. Hawaiian Airlines has also requested travel agents ensure the name on the ticket matches the name on the passport and all details are correctly inserted and are complete in the passengers’ booking record. |
