Singapore-based no frills airline, Scoot has launched the only low-cost link from Singapore to Shenyang and Qingdao .

Commencing late last week, the three times weekly service operates on a Singapore ? Qingdao ? Shenyang ? Qingdao ? Singapore route.

The carrier?s chief executive Campbell Wilson said the two cities were selected for strategic purposes and tourism appeal.

?Qingdao, a coastal city of nearly 9m world famous for its great beer, is regularly judged China?s most liveable city,? he explained.  

?Shenyang... is a strategic gateway to North East China.?
