Virgin Australia Transitions To New Sabre Booking And Check-In System
|
Virgin Australia has now transitioned to the new Sabre booking and check-in system across its domestic and international networks.
Customers can now check-in and make flight bookings via the Virgin Australia website.
Virgin Australia, Group Executive of Corporate Communications, Danielle Keighery said: “We are pleased to now be operating on the Sabre booking and check-in system.
“During the early stages of such a major IT transition there may be longer than usual wait times in some airports as the system is embedded in our day to day operations. With our web and mobile check-in options now available, we encourage all customers to check-in online prior to coming to the airport where possible this week.
“We’d like to thank customers who travelled with us through the transition period for arriving earlier for their flights and we look forward to bringing them more benefits in the future on this new system”, Ms Keighery said.
Customers travelling between today and Sunday 20 January 2013 should: Check-in via web, mobile or kiosk for a Domestic flight to avoid having to queue at the airport. Bring a printed copy of their itinerary to the airport Arrive at the airport check-in:
- At least 60 minutes prior to departure for Domestic flights
- At least 3 hours prior to departure for International flights
Virgin Australia has stationed 30% extra staff in terminals and contact centres over the next week in order to continue to support customers.
Please note that from today, all Virgin Australia flight numbers will begin with the code "VA" rather than "DJ”.
