Giant US law firm, DLA Piper, which has over 100 worldwide offices has announced that is chartering Royal Caribbean's Liberty of the Seas for its 4,200 lawyer international partner retreat.

The cruise will begin in Barcelona and sail up the coast to Nice, with the charter costs reported to be over $US3,000,000, plus the costs of drinks, excursions and flying the partners to join the vessel in Spain, with the majority assumed to be flying Business or First, according to Jim Walker’s Cruises Law News.

Representing some of the world’s leading corporations The Wall Street Journal reported that DLA Piper revenue last year was $US2.4 billion.
