Late last month, MTA – Mobile Travel Agents commenced a rollout of the first 80 individual, personalised websites for its mobile travel consultants, with more set to follow in short order. These first websites, complete with welcome home emails, an effective e-marketing system and an in-built, cutting edge social media referral solution went live across the country in both metropolitan and regional areas. The personal websites are fully managed by MTA’s Gold Coast-based head office and, mirroring the organisation’s main website located at www.mtatravel.com.au, also feature access to a full cross-spectrum product range and come complete with an optional online domestic and international booking engine with robotic ticketing enabling MTA consultants to “earn while they sleep”. Easily edited by consultants via a user friendly Content Management System (CMS), the MTA personal websites also incorporate an email marketing system and a state of the art social media referral system never before available to home working consultants . Clients are encouraged to interact with their consultant’s website in many ways including tools enabling them to check their itineraries which are instantly updated as changes are made. MTA managing director Roy Merricks said the websites had proven an instant business hit following the initial roll out as evidenced by nine of the consultants’ websites which generated more than 2,000 unique hits in the first 72 hours after going live.
