Club Med – The new speciality restaurant

TravelManagers and Club Med are constantly working closely together and so when first approached about a dedicated famil TravelManagers’ executive general manager, Mandy Scotney, says it appeared to be business as usual but it soon became apparent this famil was unique.

“Club Med is a fantastic supplier as they’re constantly coming up with new initiatives. This latest famil trip to Phuket, that will take place in June, is no exception as it’s all about targeting families. It designed specifically for TravelManagers and targets our top sellers and high potential personal travel mangers together with their spouses and children so that they can experience Club Med family style.”

Club Med Business Development Manager, Adam Ferraro, says TravelManagers was a natural partner for this initiative.

“We have been incredibly impressed with TravelManagers’ Club Med sales figures and we’ve recently signed off on a new business partnership with them that targets high-end families. We want TravelManagers’ personal travel managers to experience what we have to offer families so what better way for them to enjoy it than with their own families. It’s also a great opportunity to celebrate and congratulate them on their past and current sales growth as well as recognising the valued relationship both parties share and which is going from strength to strength.”

Ferraro says TravelManagers’ Club Med sales have been steadily increasing with a 34.4 per cent increase from 2010 to 2011 and a 24 per cent increase from 2011 to 2012.

“To have two years in a row where sales grow over 20 per cent year-on-year is fantastic for Club Med. TravelManagers invest significantly in the education of their personal travel managers and we believe this is one of the reasons for the strong growth.”

Scotney says the Club Med product is perfectly positioned for their clients and the famil will ensure their personal travel managers can speak from experience about its relevance for families.

“The four nights at Club Med Phuket will allow our personal travel managers to experience all of Club Med’s facilities, services and restaurants including the Children’s Mini Club. I’ve no doubt they will not only return well rested but inspired to contact their clients with families about Club Med Phuket.”

Scotney believes the educational famil opportunities TravelManagers provides are second to none in the industry.

“We constantly have famil opportunities available for our personal travel managers and a very high number of these are exclusive to TravelManagers. We see these along with our web-based supplier training as crucial in ensuring our personal travel managers have the latest information on what is available for their clients. We work hard on our supplier relationships and this famil example with Club Med shows the level of trust they have in us to deliver. It’s a great partnership.”
