Joe Araullo – Chief Executive

TravelManagers successful sales figures are not the only aspect of their business increasing at a rapid pace. They now boast over 350 personal travel managers having gone from 348 to 353 in one week. Chief executive Joe Araullo says TravelManagers is the market leader in the mobile based consulting sector.

“In addition to being the largest network by approximately 170 personal travel managers, we are setting the standard in terms of support to our network. We are the only company to provide their personal travel managers with unlimited access to every item of the information they need to run their business 24/7, we have the broadest and most in depth support infrastructure through five dedicated state based business partnership mentors and 21 dedicated staff at the National Support Office, superior preferred supplier relationships many of which are long-term, extensive education, training and famil programmes, state-of-the-art technology and of course the highest commission levels.”

Araullo says he is immensely proud of the results achieved at TravelManagers which are a dedicated team effort.

“Despite our size being nearly double that of our nearest competitor, each of our personal travel managers is treated as an individual within our family. There is a very strong focus on supporting and learning from each other both in terms of National Partnership Office support and amongst the personal travel managers themselves. This is hugely evident through our online forums on the intranet and the interaction at any face-to-face gatherings including our regional meetings.”

Araullo says their personal travel managers are amongst the highest income earners in both retail and corporate travel in the industry.

“In 2011 we had 44 personal travel managers earning in excess of $75,000 per annum and another 57 personal travel managers earning between $40,000and $75,00 and many more earning far in excess of their previous wages in a traditional travel agency.”

Araullo says many of their lower earners could be earning more if they needed or wanted to.

“For the large majority their families and the accompanying lifestyle is the main priority over increasing their income at this time. Being a personal travel manager allows this flexibility and the freedom to operate in a way that best suits your objectives.”
