Qantas Club goes Kerr-azy

In a bid to attract new members, the Australian flag carrier’s benefits group, the Qantas Club, has signed on international supermodel, Miranda Kerr as the face of its new marketing campaign.

Announced this morning, the airline said the campaign would launch later this month with the aim of drawing in new members through a sequence of images highlighting benefits to both leisure and business class travellers.

Showcasing its WiFi connections, priority privileges and premium food and beverage offering, Ms Kerr said she was “excited” to be a part of the new campaign and understood the importance of comfort for frequent flyers.

“Qantas Clubs offer that little bit of home away from home while you are at the airport, all the conveniences you need and the chance to indulge in some of Neil Perry’s great snacks,” Ms Kerr added.

Giving airline and Kerr fans a sneak peek of the new marketing pitch this morning, the new campaign is expected to run via Qantas channels including Qantas Frequent Flyer emails, qantas.com as well as in terminal and outdoor areas.

In line with its customer relation development, Qantas also announced last week the resumption of its three times daily service between the Gold Coast and Sydney.

Taking off from late October, the airline’s chief executive Alan Joyce said the move was part of the carrier’s focus on frequency and serving the market.
