The Qantas and Emirates codeshare agreement is becoming more solid, with the deal set to be finalised as early as next week.

While full details have not yet emerged, the deal indicates utilising a service to or through Dubai and pulling Qantas’ kangaroo loss making route to Frankfurt.

According to Sky News, how the deal is structured is dependent on what access Qantas passengers will have to the Emirates European network of more than 30 destinations, while giving Emirates access to the Australian market outside the capital cities they already serve.
