MARKET demand has encouraged Wendy Wu Tours to introduce a new fully inclusive group tour and four new independent packages to its range of product in fast-emerging Myanmar. Marketing manager Amanda Bruno said that part of the demand came from past passengers who had an introduction to the country through a Pandaw cruise on the Irrawaddy River. All additional Myanmar itineraries as well as an extended range of stopover activities in Kuala Lumpur are featured in WWT’s new 2013 Vietnam brochure, which also covers Cambodia, Laos, Thailand and Borneo. Ms Bruno said that there would be 18 group departures next year for the popular Myanmar Explorer tour and 12 for the new Hidden Treasures program - this is an increase of 26 departures as all 2013 departures were sold out months in advance. Myanmar is not WWT’s only growth area. In 2013 the company will also operate additional departures of a number of tours in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Also new is the inclusion of private departures of group tours in Vietnam. Four of the most popular group itineraries, ranging from eight to 15 days, can now be taken as private tours, with land only content. This has proved popular with travellers not wanting to be restricted by specific departure dates, airlines and who require more flexibility, but wish to take advantage of the benefits of the inclusions which Wendy Wu Tours is renowned for. |
