The Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour becomes the third Pullman property in Sydney

Marking a ‘dramatic expansion’ of the Pullman brand in Australia, Accor has announced that the Quay Grand Suites Sydney has rebranded to Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour.

Joining Pullman Sydney Olympic Park and Pullman Sydney Hyde Park (formerly Sydney Marriott), the latest addition to the luxury brand sees Pullman increase its total presence down under to five properties.

The Pullman brand in Australia expects to grow to up to 15 hotels by the end of 2013, with three Sebel hotels ready to assume the Pullman name within the next six months.

The brand’s expansion in Australia is a “key priority” for the group, says Accor Pacific chief operating officer Simon McGrath.

“The Pullman brand holds such a rich history and is highly regarded throughout Asia and Europe, and it makes sense for us to grow this brand in Australia where there is clear demand for quality internationally-branded hotels aimed at the corporate and upscale leisure markets," Mr McGrath said.

“We see Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour as one of the brand’s flagship hotels in the region and it will be the venue for the Pullman Global Launch in December, as we celebrate the strength and growth of the Pullman brand."

Since re-launching the brand in 2007, Accor has established a network of over 60 Pullman hotels in key cities London, Paris, Dubai, Bangkok, Shanghai and Auckland among others.
