![]() Grand Mercure Pinnacle Apartments in Pyrmont receives ‘urban chic’ makeover Grand Mercure Pinnacle Apartments in Sydney’s Pyrmont district has completed a full upgrade incorporating a new “Urban Chic|Urban Series” design. The stylish fit-out reflects the property’s inner city location next to Darling Harbour, and includes new-look rooms and public areas. The property is the 4th hotel this year in the Accor Vacation Club network in Australia/New Zealand to complete a major refurbishment programme. The upgrade follows hot on the heels of the highly successful “Heritage|Urban Series” design unveiled in 2011 at the Grand Mercure Flinders Lane in Melbourne. Currently verging on the top 10 hotels in Sydney on the Trip Advisor site, the Grand Mercure Pinnacle Apartments are highly popular with Accor Vacation Club Members and other travellers due to their spacious rooms, wide balconies and prime location a stone’s throw from the city centre and all the action of Darling Harbour and the Casino precinct, which should see the property soar up the rankings even further. "Our upgrading programme recognises our commitment to maintaining the high level of quality and finish that our Members expect of Accor Vacation Club properties, " says Wayne Greenwood, General Manager Resort Operations of Accor Vacation Club. “We have installed double glazing in the bedrooms to ensure an even better sleep, combined with the installation of lavish drapes, which we believe will significantly enhance the ambience and guest experience.” Drawing inspiration from many aspects of Sydney’s public face, the renovation programme has taken into account the needs of both business and leisure travellers. All apartments feature a media hub for state of the art connectivity through a 40” TV, as well as new bedding, furniture and soft furnishings. The design draws from the vibrancy of the local area in the texture and colour scheme of the apartments, and specially designed and custom made carpet. The latest “colour dye injection” technology creates intricate graphics, incorporating the names of Sydney’s most fashionable suburbs into the pile fibre, further reflected with a decal on the master robe door. The palette is fresh warm whites, deep rich bronze with both teal and magenta highlights. New timber, glass and stainless steel finishes complement the warm, sassy and sophisticated appearance. With a focus on the environment, water saving devices have been being fitted with new tap-wear and fixtures, and lighting utilises energy-saving LEDs. Rates for the new-look inner city apartments (for non Accor Vacation Club Members) start from $352.00 per apartment per night. |
