French Champagne, candles and croquet was all part of “The Crazy Years” roaring twenties themed event which welcomed three hundred PCO Association conference delegates to Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach last week.

Celebrating poolside on a balmy summer evening, delegates came dressed in their finest get-up with hats, sequins and pearls ready to be transported back to the City of Lights, Paris.

Everyone enjoyed delectable French food prepared by Executive Chef William Magno and his team, sipped French Champagne named ‘Aimery’ as selected by Sofitel General Manager also named Amery, and drank from 1920s glasses modelled on the bust of Marie Antoinette. 

Dubbed as one of the best PCO Association  conference events by the councillors and delegates, the French rendezvous had everyone admiring reproductions of French Provincial Louis the 16th style furniture, fountains and of course the Eiffel Tower.

The evening was capped off with a delicious crape dessert station, martinis shaken not stirred using Ciroc, a French vodka and gin label, James Squires 4 Wives beer (chosen for its scandalous name) and little touches of potted Rosemary exuding a soft scent native to Southern France and the Mediterranean.
