The travel industry is mourning the loss of tourism legend, Bob Baartz who suffered a heart attack last week in his UK home. Passing away at the age of 75, Mr Baartz was best known for his generosity of spirit, commitment to working hard and achieving profits for his airline bosses. Brother to former Socceroo play, Ray Baartz, the family is well known throughout Newcastle in Australia. Although the funeral expected to be held this week will remain private with close family and friends, TEC Member Roger Henning said any details of a possible ‘celebration of life’ will be released when available. |
