Luxperience Connects to New Zealand

Wednesday, 14 March 2012

Luxperience, the premier luxury and experiential travel trade event in the Australasia & Pacific region that connects the world’s most exclusive travel providers, has held a series of events in New Zealand to promote the opportunity to key suppliers and media.

The invitation-only gathering (www.luxperience.com.au) will bring together leading players – both suppliers and buyers – in the high-end travel market who are experts at planning and delivering bespoke itineraries and unusual travel experiences.

It aims to provide the foundation for a ‘Luxperience Community’ connecting the crème de la crème of experiential travel experience providers worldwide.

Experiential Travel has become the new buzzword, with objects of desire available to anyone who decides to splash out, people are looking for something more,” said Rosemarie Sama, CEO & Founder of Luxperience.

“My vision for Luxperience has been built upon this trend, the evolution of luxury being more than a physical object, where 300 thread count cottons and personalized customer service still play an important role, but where an experience and the opportunity to do out of the ordinary takes centre stage.

“New Zealand has been extending unique experiences for many years and the proximity of New Zealand to our event in Sydney emphasizes the relevance of this trade sales and marketing platform which will connect the crème de la crème of the global travel market and also provide opportunity to secure business from Australia’s rich outbound market.

There are three Buyer programs at the Luxperience event that aims to deliver solid networking and sales for any New Zealand Product.

The first is the Virtuoso Inspire Program, where two senior luxury travel consultants from each of the 32 Virtuoso agencies across Australia will attend a tailor-made program. This will allow each supplier to meet, network and educate over 60 national agents on the first day of the trade event alone. All Virtuoso agents will participate in the Pre-Scheduled Meeting program.

The second is Luxperience’s National Corporate Program, which involves 150 blue chip Australian companies where the Executive and Personal Assistants, Performance Managers, Recognition Program and Incentive Managers attend an afternoon at Luxperience. These buyers are seeking Executive Retreats, VIP Accommodation and Incentive offerings at the highest level.

And Luxperience’s core Global VIP Buyers will be limited to the most exclusive global travel providers, including agencies and wholesalers who have been invited to attend.

“This trip to New Zealand has been very exciting. From the amazing Auckland and Rotorua to the spectacular Queenstown, New Zealand certainly did not cease to surprise with the most amazing array of luxury lodges and boutique accommodation. Not to mention the awe inspiring experiences. What a package!” said Rosemarie Sama.

Interest from New Zealand suppliers has been high with companies such as Southern Crossings, Touch of Spice, Simply Wild and Eichardt’s Private Hotel confirming their participation and joining such companies as Hayman and Makepeace Islands located in Australia, Neckar Island, Orion Expeditions, Wakatobi Dive Resort, Bali Fine Art Retreats, Luxe India, Sea Song Tours, Silversea Cruises and Dubai Tourism to name a few.
