Luxperience supplier Edenhouse caters to body and soul in fine New Zealand style

Friday, 31 August 2012

Internationally-acclaimed New Zealand boutique lodge Edenhouse, who is participating at Luxperience will offer its guests additional sustenance for both body and soul this season, through a series of new initiatives.

Situated in the idyllic Orinoco Valley of the Nelson-Tasman region, Edenhouse has engaged with a trio of highly-regarded local professionals to celebrate and share the very best of Nelson's natural attractions and lifestyle.

GUEST CHEF
This includes a partnership with renowned chef Matt Bouterey, who has been confirmed as Edenhouse's guest chef for the coming season.
Matt is famed in Nelson for his “locavore" cuisine, calling on the finest, freshest, locally sourced ingredients, often from his own closely-guarded private sources.

Michelin-trained Matt's CV includes stints at the likes of Marco Pierre White's Sugar Reef and alongside Gary Rhodes in London; latterly, he has been a fixture in the top echelon of New Zealand restaurateurs, repeatedly confirmed by the country's most reputable restaurant competition conducted by Cuisine magazine.

Now, he will cook at Edenhouse for at least two nights a week, with a focus on seafood - an especially tantalising prospect, given Nelson's position as New Zealand's seafood capital.

HELI CULINARY TOURS
In keeping with Edenhouse hosts Peter and Bobbie Martin's love of sharing Nelson's riches, another experience offered to their guests will combine Matt's culinary skills with aerial tours of the breath-taking region, under the guidance of long-established family business Reid Helicopters.

The venture, dubbed The Food Source, will see guests flown to inspiring places across the top of the South Island. Besides the spectacular sightseeing, these exclusive, private tours extend to the practical, collecting wine from some of New Zealand's best vineyards and harvesting foodstuffs on the way, before Matt prepares a meal in an appropriate wilderness setting - perhaps in a back country farm cottage, or on a secluded beach.

PAMPERING & INDULGENCE
Ever-mindful of guests' need to unwind as well as to indulge, massage and beauty therapist Jacqui Jenkins will be part of the Edenhouse team this season. Jacqui was well known as the therapist at nearby Paratiho Farms, and has occasionally worked at Edenhouse. Her popularity has prompted Peter and Bobbie to formalise the relationship.

Now, Edenhouse guests can receive expert therapeutic treatments from Jacqui, or one of her highly-qualified team, in the peace and privacy of their own suite - whether relaxation or deep tissue massage, acupressure, aromatherapy or reflexology.

These new services reinforce Edenhouse's position at the forefront of New Zealand's prestigious accommodation sector, and Peter and Bobbie's skill at combining exquisite taste with a true Kiwi experience.
