New Starter Day here to stay!

Wednesday, 21 March 2012

Travel Counsellors recently held their 2nd “New Starter Day” at head office, where they invite TC’s that have started their business in the last six months back to it’s Melbourne headquarters to catch up with other new business owners, share business tips and hints with each other, and gain further training to enhance their business.

To inspire the new starters, Gold Travel Counsellor - Claudia Silk was a special guest for a Q&A session to talk through the challenges of running your own business, as well as the huge benefits that she has enjoyed.  This was a very successful session and the new starters found it great to meet a TC that has “been there, done that”.

The new starters travelled from across the country to experience a great sales training session with Business Development Manager, Tracy Parkinson who is highly experienced and been with the company for 13 years.

The New Starters were also treated to a delicious lunch at Majong Restaurant in St Kilda, before the group finished off with a management session by the General Manager Deb Duncan.

“The day has been such a success, we are now building it in permanently to our calendar for all new starters to come back approximately 6 months after they start for a catch up and further training” comments Business Development Manager, Tracy Parkinson.

In addition to the New Starters Day the head office team at Travel Counsellors have recently travelled to Sydney & Brisbane for training days on IT & Air Product, with Melbourne training to be held for it’s Victorian agents later this week at Head Office.

Next week Head Office will also run a Gold Forum which brings together the top sales agents in the group to discuss and share ideas and how to manage their business at such a high level.

“Having so much face-to-face contact with our Travel Counsellors creates and enforces the strong bond and support that we offer to the agents joining us” comments Deb Duncan, General Manager.
