Travel Counsellors is now widely regarded as the world’s most professional home-based travel company, with over 1200 full-time agents in 7 countries.


David Speakman launched the company in England in 1994 and before long, his concept of promoting professional travel people to a new world of working for themselves at home became hugely successful.


Finally a solution has been found to rid the burden of paying for street frontage while still realising a good reputation and in turn a great income.   The concept spread around the world and was eventually established here in Australia in 2007.


Travel Counsellors has grown into a large international company but our hearts are still to create a culture that thrives on trusted friends.  We are a family owned business and our ethos of friendship, camaraderie, caring and support is not an "added extra"… it’s at the very core of our being. We believe that this family ethos of building true and strong relationships with all our stakeholders is still the major contributor to our success and this ethos has permeated through to our staff, Travel Counsellors and customers.
