Travel Counsellors has hosted its first Partner Training Day in Australia as part of a unique training and support programme for its agents’ partners and spouses. The TC Partner Day has been designed to provide the tools and skills to help them take a positive and supportive interest in their partner’s work as a Travel Counsellor. The training, which is free of charge, took place at the company’s head office in Melbourne last week. An informative schedule included an insight into Travel Counsellors’ ethos as well as practical training on the company’s customer management system and marketing initiatives. Tracy Parkinson, Business Development Manager comments; “We decided to launch the programme as a result of many agent spouses and partnersexpressing an interest in learning more about the company and being able to gain the skills to enable them to market and support their partners’ businesses, and we had an overwhelming response – so much so that we will be booking more partner days into our annual training schedule! As a company we are dedicated to constantly introducing new and innovative ways in which we can support our agents, both professionally and personally, to enable them to be the very best they can be, and the brand new TC Partner training days are an important part of this approach.” The training day gave agent’s partners an insight into the company as well as how to gain referrals and successful networking to enable them to support agent’s businesses by promoting it to others. Other highlights included a gourmet lunch and a meet and greet with company head office staff, before going home with a host of marketing and networking ideas”. Deb Duncan, General Manager commented, “After attending the training days, Travel Counsellors’ partners will officially act as their business ambassador, helping to support and grow agents’ businesses through networking and marketing techniques. We are proud of the community we have developed and grown here at Travel Counsellors and take a keen interest in all aspects of their lives, welcoming not just them but their partners and children into the TC family. With this in mind last year we introduced our TC Kids programme which has proven to be a huge success during the school holidays, and now we have a partner programme to enable partners to play an active role in our agents’ businesses and be part of their success.” As one of the first agent partners to attend the training day, Mike Watson, partner of Ormeau, QLD based Travel Counsellor Suzanne Watson says, “It was great to meet other Travel Counsellors’ partners and exchange experiences, knowledge, tips and stories. The sessions were really interesting and I really appreciated being able to hear some excellent ideas for referrals and networking, and identify other areas where I can help Suzanne build her business. We received real VIP treatment and were made to feel a part of the Travel Counsellors’ family.” Campbellfield, VIC based Travel Counsellor David Phillips comments, “My wife Trish was very impressed with the TC Partner Day and came home feeling more positive than I could have ever imagined. Events like these reaffirm that when you run your own business it’s incredibly important to have support from family and feel part of a company that cares.” For further information contact: |
