Translator with Speech

One of the greatest challenges for anyone travelling is coming to grips with the local lingo.

Sometimes it can be fun, but sometimes you NEED to say

“ I need the toilet, quickly” or

“I meant mild curry, because now I need the toilet QUICKLY ” or maybe even

“Please direct me to a taxi,I need to get to my hotel room, curry was too hot and I need the toilet NOW”.

One option is to stumble through a local dictionary, try and put together sentences which are understood by locals as “I just had a fast toilet and need a quick curry”. Pathway to disaster.

The other option is to download “Translator with speech” on Windows devices so you can translate to and from 54 different languages.

Fire up the app, record your sentence or type it in and then submit. The message is sent to the server, translated and sent back to you in text as well as an audio file that can be clicked and played.

It's very cool.

Once you have recorded the translation it you can store it on your phone so your popular phrases are always available for your use.

We give it a 8.5/10 – considering the first release, we need to leave at some room to improve!  Definitely worth the one dollar
