Woolworths launches Global Roaming SIM

Australia’s largest supermarket has added travel to its shelves, launching The Woolworths Mobile Global Roaming SIM.

Partnering with Ireland’s Cubic Telecom to unveil the new product, Woolworths claims the SIM was designed to help save Australian travellers up to 90 percent on international roaming charges by offering “close to local rates” on calls to local phone numbers and removing “exorbitant charges” on incoming calls to their normal Australian mobile number.

As well as “cheaper” rates, the SIM also allows travellers to dial family and friends direct from their contact list without adding international roaming codes.

Available to use in over 200 countries, Woolworths mobile head Graeme Veitch said the SIM “is incredibly easy to use” and will be “the cure for post holiday bill shock”.

The Woolworths Mobile Global Roaming SIM is available to use on unlocked regular or micro SIM handsets.
