Variety Cruises 2013 European Voyages New Lower Cruise Fares

Discover the World Cruising is pleased to introduce our new lower fares for voyages onboard small ship company Variety Cruises. Our 2013 European Preview flyer features sailings in the Mediterranean and the Adriatic Sea, however our upcoming brochure will feature all of Variety Cruises’ destinations including Seychelles, West Africa and Cuba.

Garden of Eden itineraries - Seychelles Islands Discover the World Cruising is also pleased to announce that Variety Cruises has now added the Seychelles to its roster of destinations with new year round, four, five and eight day Garden of Eden itineraries. Small ships are ideal to discover this exotic tropical paradise, where large ships don’t even have access. Passengers aboard Variety Cruises will experience the Seychelles in a private yacht setting aboard the twin-hulled 45 metre Mega Yacht Pegasus accommodating up to 49 guests in just 23 cabins. Amenities include 237 square metres of open deck, an elegant bar/lounge, a well stocked library and indoor and outdoor dining areas. A platform on the stern enables passengers to swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit. Garden of Eden itinerary highlights and stops include: Mahe – Perfect for snorkeling and diving with its crystal blue waters and coral reef Aride – This tiny island displays the exotic flora and fauna that have made the Seychelles famous Curieuse – An uninhabited island that is home to the famous giant tortoises Praslin – Nap underneath the tall palm trees that produce the famous Coco de Mer

Cruise Fares
First person fares start at $1,960* for the eight day itinerary, $1,245* for the five day itinerary and $981* for the four day itinerary. Book before 15 October, 2012 and receive 50%* off the 2nd guest fare (excludes port charges) for selected sailings from December 2012 through December 2013. The Sights and Sounds of Cuba The wonders of Cuba await with Variety Cruises’ new Sights and Sounds of Cuba itinerary starting 21 December, 2012. This seven night voyage explores this island’s rich history, classic colonial architecture, beaches and lush landscape by small ship, an ideal way to experience this “untouched” Caribbean island gem known for its vibrant music and cultural mystique.

Passengers can experience Cuba up-close and personal aboard the Panorama three masted sail cruiser. This intimate ship accommodates up to 49 passengers in just 25 cabins. Amenities include two bars, a large sundeck, two lounges, a library and elegant dining room. The swimming platform on the Panorama stern enables guests to swim when weather and anchorage conditions permit. Stops on the Sights and Sounds itinerary include: Puerto Esperanza – One of Cuba’s most scenic regions is home to the “magotes” rock formations and the 18th century town of Vinales Bahia de Corrientes – A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve Site, this region is known for crystal clear waters, pristine beaches and exotic wildlife. Playa Giron – This historic site commonly known as the Bay of Pigs features the Commandancia Museum, the former headquarters of the Cuban Army. Cienfuegos – First discovered by Christopher Columbus, this city features a rich history of architectural character Trinidad – Cuba’s most notorious city is home to stunning colonial style mansions.

Rates start at $2,375 per person based on double occupancy in a category C cabin for the eight day/seven night cruise.
