Winner of the Travelscene American Express Quantum Award for Victoria, Travelscene Wonthaggi, has saved hundreds of hours in wasted labour simply by converting to Sabre Agency Manager. Travelscene Wonthaggi Manager, Jason Sartori, says that implementing the mid-office solution was far from a daunting task, and in less than two years, it has proven itself as a major benefit to his small but growing business. "For many years, we relied on a standalone mid-office system. As the business grew, our end of month accounting became harder and harder and in the end I was spending two full days re-entering receipts and transactions we'd accrued into our back-office system," says Jason. "At that time, we were using the Sabre host, which we found extremely easy and decided it was time to look at a new mid-office system, including Sabre Agency Manager. We found Sabre Agency Manager was fast, convenient and integrated seamlessly with Sabre Red Workspace, so we chose that." Jason says that after using Sabre Agency Manager for two years, he has successfully automated most of the accounting duties. "Now, all I have to do is press a button and our monthly accounting is done. This saves me at least 10 hours a month, because the transactions are done instantly and with no fuss," says Jason. "Another benefit is that if you work in the Sabre Red Workspace, all information drops straight into Sabre Agency Manager, and you move on. Per consultant, this saves about three hours a week, or roughly 10 minutes per transaction." Jason says the secret to making accounting easy for his agency is getting on top of it early. "If we do hit a snag, rather than let it sit there, we just call up the Sabre Agency Manager helpdesk and have it cleaned up quick smart. Data is easily imported into established accounting packages including MYOB and Quick Books, which helps keep our accountant happy at the end of the year, plus saves us time and money," says Jason. Sabre Agency Managers CRM capabilities have also proved very useful for growing Travelscene Wonthaggi's business, now accounting for roughly 5% of the business's total revenue.
