Sabre Online adds Google Maps and NZ Seat Selection

Wednesday, 28 November 2012

Sabre Online now offers a higher level of service to travellers with new money-saving tools and an enhanced user experience. Updates made to the corporate online booking engine were rolled out to agencies across Australia and New Zealand today.

Sabre Pacific CIO and Head of Product, Mark Mison, says the solutions' new Google Maps functionality gives corporate travellers the ability to view the location of selected preferred hotels, non-preferred hotels and company offices.

"Company office locations are automatically imported from Sabre Agency Manager. Meaning Sabre Online users can now see, at a glance, where their hotel will be in relation to their office making life easier for corporate travellers to navigate unfamiliar cities," says Mison.

Sabre Online has also been enhanced to allow customers to book domestic Air New Zealand Seat Only fares in combination with other offerings.

"Customers can select their fare offering via an easy, drop-down menu, ensuring they only pay for those NZ services they need," says Mison.

Mison explains the updates will help agencies using Sabre Online grow their business more effectively.

"Striving to improve the usability of our products and the satisfaction of our customers is a continuous process. We've received excellent feedback from customers after the recent rollout of Sabre Online's new look and feel, and will continue to introduce updates, such as today's Google Maps integration, to ensure the solution remains one of the strongest in the market," says Mison.

Mison says that 39 percent more bookings were processed through Sabre Online in October 2012 compared to October 2011 showing the increased popularity of this online tool.
