One of Australia’s favourite holiday destinations welcomes first Holiday Inn Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts has opened the newly-transformed Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach in Thailand at the former Sala Talay Resort, marking another milestone for the brand in its 60th year. Set on the beachfront amongst landscaped tropical gardens, Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach has 55 rooms, including two Penthouse Suites, equipped with large walk-in rain showers, bath tubs, a choice of soft and firm pillows, free wireless internet and balconies/terraces. By October 2013, the resort will open a new wing housing an additional 133 room. The expansion will include the brand’s renowned Holiday Inn KidSuites® offering family-friendly facilities such as separate sleeping areas, bunk beds and a kids’ play corner, including a flat-screen TV, a DVD player, a game console, electronic games and toy boxes. Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach features an outdoor free-form swimming pool, a fitness centre, Kid’s Club, a well-stocked book and DVD library, a day spa offering holistic Thai massages and treatments, a swim-up bar and InAsia restaurant with panoramic views over Ao Nang Beach. Also on offer is Holiday Inn’s signature Kids Stay & Eat Free program, allowing up to two children aged 17 and under to stay free in existing bedding when sharing their parents’ room, while kids 12 and under eat free when dining with accompanying adult guests. The rebranding of the resort earlier this month immediately adds a ninth Holiday Inn flag to Thailand’s map.
