Travel Counsellors Australia is celebrating after one of its agents was given the title of ‘Best Travel Counsellor Worldwide’ at the company’s annual international conference last week.

Queensland based Nadine Kutz received a standing ovation at the event in the UK city of Liverpool when she was named as the top Travel Counsellor out of the company’s 1,100 plus agents across the globe. Having only joined the company in 2010 Nadine has since achieved phenomenal sales and more equivalent commission than any other Travel Counsellor, and was also awarded ‘Best Travel Counsellor Australia’ for her fantastic achievements.

She comments; “In receiving the awards I feel extremely proud of what I have achieved and also extremely grateful for the partnerships that have enabled me to succeed – my family, friends and the team in Travel Counsellors Australia, and indeed across the world, who have provided me with the tools and support needed to succeed in this role. Travel Counsellors is a truly special company to be part of and I look forward to what the future holds for me and my business.”

What’s more the Australian operation was celebrating its collaborative success after Managing Director Steve Byrne congratulated agents throughout the country for their hard work and announced that Australia was the fastest growing operation throughout the whole company this year, finishing 13% up on sales compared to the previous year.

“Travel Counsellors Australia is going from strength to strength and we expect this success and growth to continue as travel professionals recognise the value in building their own businesses with a company who can offer them the unparalleled support, tools and the security to enable them to flourish in today’s industry,” comments Byrne. “Our Travel Counsellors’ individual earnings have increased by an average of 15% as they embrace the global technology we have developed to enable them to take control of their own margin and dramatically increase their earning potential. We also have the right people in place to support our agents, who are the cream of the travel industry, and are very excited about what the next 12 months has in store for Australia.”

The leading travel company now has 98 Travel Counsellors running their own home-based travel businesses across Australia, and a further 1,150 in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa, Canada and most recently Dubai. As the company continues to grow and move forward in Australia recent developments include the company relocating its offices to larger premises in the centre of Melbourne.

The Australian operation also now boasts eight Gold Travel Counsellors based across the country who have collectively achieved over and above $16 million in sales over the last 12 months. During the year a total of 23 experienced Travel Agents have joined the Travel Counsellors team, and the company is expecting to recruit more agents in Australia over the next 12 months as it continues to grow and further enhance the support, technology and global buying power for the benefit of its agents.
