roomsXML and the Sultanate of Oman Tourism (Australia) are delighted to announce collaboration to promote the stories, culture and  accommodation options across Oman, including roadshow events for travel agents in Sydney and Melbourne in October 2012.

Mark Luckey, MD roomsXML Asia Pac says " It's a great opportunity to collaborate with an award-winning group such as The Sultanate of Oman Tourism board.  Its a growing destination for global travellers, with such excellent stories for travel agents to onsell to their customers.  The roomsXML office in Saudi Arabiagives us a regional presence, credibility and accomodation options to improve awareness and visits for this fantastic destination."

The Sultanate of Oman Tourism won the 2012 AFTA for Best International Tourist Office this year, after being nominated for the previous two years.

Oman Country Manager Mona Tannous says, “It’s been a big year for Oman with the launch of Side trip of a Lifetime and, with the support of a fantastic industry partner like roomsXML, it’s only going to get bigger.”

As well as including information about the  side trip potential of Oman, the events will bring together marketing experts to stimulate agents on how to grow their business.  The speakers include Prakash Bang, roomsXML founder and travel writer as well as word-of-mouth marketing guru,  Martin Bailey .

Luckey says "roomsXML is about supporting travel agents, these marketing guys have fantastic experience on what it takes to grow a business and what travellers really want, particularly when it comes to selling destinations such as Oman.

Mona says, “Oman is very much an emerging destination so it’s going to be great to continue the education process for both travel agents and consumers so more people get to experience the ‘Jewel of Arabia’.”

The event will be held in Sydney on October 17 and Melbourne on October 18.
