Hertz launches Rent2Buy down under

Friday, 31 August 2012

Rental car agency, Hertz Australia has commenced its online Rent2Buy car sales program in Australia, following proven popularity in the United States.

The website offers consumers well maintained, late model pre-rental vehicles at competitive fixed prices, combined with a free three-day test period.

Since launching in the US, we've sold many thousands of cars online,” Hertz International president Michael Taride said.

“We are pleased to bring this exciting program to customers in Australia so that they can also benefit from well-maintained used cars at extremely competitive prices and with a full service history.”

Hertz Rent2Buy offers prospective buyers the opportunity to take a three day test drive, which is then provided as a free rental if the car being test-driven is purchased.

“The cars are hand selected from our large fleet of late model rental vehicles, all of which are removed from the fleet after 12-18 months,” Hertz Australasia region vice president and managing director Chris Rusden said.

All sales include a 90-day, 5000 kilometre limited warranty and full service history.
