TripAdvisor dedicates Aus sales team

Tuesday, 6 March 2012

Further paving its dedication to the Australian market, TripAdvisor has announced the launch of a new sales team to head up display advertising down under.

With a 49 percent spike in unique user traffic originating from Australia during December last year compared to the same month 2010, the Group announced this week the new team based in Sydney would allow the company to “capitilise on the fantastic growth”.

Headed by sales manager Ela Wolski, the team would also be responsible for expanding the Company’s client and media agency relationships within Aus and New Zealand.

“Our investment in a dedicated display advertising team shows how important the Australian market is to us,” TripAdvisor vice president of display advertising EMEAA Martin Verdon-Roe said.

“Through Ela, we aim to build and develop new and exciting ways for advertisers to reach our audience’s around the world in the most meaningful way.

“Our goal is to always provide a great user and advertiser experience.”

Last month TripAdvisor announced the launch of its first flight search engine in Australia, providing travellers with flight details and the tools to book.
