A partnership between travel review site, TripAdvisor, and online accommodation booking site, Quickbeds.com, is set to create a platform for travellers to make better decisions on where to stay based on guest reviews. Under the agreement, Quickbeds has implemented TripAdvisor’s review collection platform to encourage traveller reviews and opinions. Customers of Quickbeds will be sent an email after their stay, directing them to a survey powered by TripAdvisor, with the results to be posted on both websites, subject to TripAdvisor’s submission policies. Quickbeds marketing manager, Tony Huddy said for something as experiential as travel, everyone understands the value of peer feedback. “Partnering with TripAdvisor allows us to take this one step further and embrace reviews by our site’s users,” Mr Huddy remarked. According to TripAdvisor APAC director of partnerships, Aaron Hung, Quickbeds is the latest to join a growing number of global travel brands that are partnering with TripAdvisor. “Research shows that 81 percent of travellers find user reviews important when determining which hotel to stay at during their trip, and nearly half won’t book a property if it doesn’t have reviews.” |
