Expedia TAAP in Australia hit a new high with record turnover last week. Turnover reached 110% above the same period last year as more and more agents start embracing the system.  136 different destinations were booked last week from Zagreb in Croatia, Nelson New Zealand, Fujian region in China and Guayaquil Ecuador.  

Europe continues to hold the top regional destination with 41%, USA 24%, Oceania 18%, APAC 15% and LATAM 2%. The Big Apple (NYC) was the top destination followed by, Sydney, Barcelona, London, French Riviera, Hong Kong, Paris, Oahu, Adelaide, Dubai.

“There are over 150,000 travel Agents now using the Expedia TAAP worldwide and this number increases daily” said Stu Udy, manager of the Expedia TAAP for APAC. “Approximately 7,000 agents are using the system in ANZ and the phenomenal growth is testament to the product. The rates are super competitive and the system is so easy to use. 4 out of 5 times an agent comes on to Expedia TAAP, they make a booking” says Stuart, “That’s incredible conversion in anyone’s terms, but it goes to show that the agents are finding the product they want and closing the sale.”
