South African Tourism hereby wishes to announce that Chief Marketing Officer Roshene Singh has announced her retirement. Roshene leaves South African Tourism after a very successful tenure of nearly 10 years, which culminated in her being been named an ‘Internationalist’ in February this year for her leadership in global destination marketing work and ‘outstanding thinking in brand communications’. The honour was bestowed by The Internationalist, a global publication based in New York that explores the best of global branding and marketing. Roshene has indicated that she wishes to retire to take some time off to pursue her own personal interests. She will, however, stay with SA Tourism until the end of this year, while a replacement is sought for her position. We accept Roshene’s desire to retire and I would like to thank her for her many years of loyal, dedicated service to SA Tourism, during which time she has played an integral role in driving our tourism growth strategy and achieving fantastic results in tandem with our country and head office marketing teams. We will work with Roshene on planning her exit from the organisation, as well as on a business continuity plan for her to hand over to her successor. We wish Roshene the very best in future. |
