The Star, Sydney's premium events and entertainment destination, has welcomed the arrival of Elisha Zhin as the new General Manager, Hotels.

Elisha has over 14 years of casino and hotel experience and joins The Star most recently from Resorts World Sentosa, Singapore.

Having worked at some of the world's most renowned casino resorts including Las Vegas' MGM Grand and Bellagio, the prestigious Four Seasons Hotel group and with her involvement in the opening of MGM Grand Macau hotel, Elisha brings to The Star seasoned knowledge and expertise.

Elisha will work closely with the senior management group to continue the growth of The Star's Hotel business, which has enjoyed wonderful success in recent months securing a number of coveted industry awards.  The most recent of these, The Darling's 'Best International New Hotel for Construction and Design' win at the International Hotel Awards.

The Darling hotel, located on the edge of Sydney Harbour, is two-part in its design, having a distinctive inverted glass tower resting on a sandstone podium and features  171 stylish and spacious rooms, suites and penthouses, an infinity pool and spa.

The Darling hotel and Spa opened in October last year, as part of an extensive redevelopment of The Star, which introduced an array of award-winning restaurants and bars, a luxury retail collection, a 16 room day spa, an extensive suite of penthouses and a world-class casino.
