Since opening its doors in July 2012, Lake Geneva Region’s latest property, Hotel Lavaux, is proving a hit with interests flooding in from local and international visitors. In just over a month, the property which features 58 rooms has taken more than 450 bookings. Located in heart of the UNESCO heritage site of Lavaux vineyards, the hotel is in a shape of a long ship. Originally built in 1964 and designed by the famous Italian born architect, Alberto Sartoris, the AUD15.34mil renovation project features straight lines that accentuate the new contemporary style of the building. Furnished with all mod-cons and boasting a bright, spacious feel, the hotel also features six apartments, each consisting of a bedroom, living room, a modern bath room and a kitchen corner. Rooms start from AUD164 per room including city taxes and a full breakfast buffet is $18.40 per person. For more information, visit www.myswitzerland.com. |
