Sabre GDS goes mobile

Tuesday, 13 November 2012

Sabre Pacific has launched a new mobile point-to-point solution, Ababcus Mobile, designed to keep agents in Australia and New Zealand connected while they are out of the office.

Available to use on a smartphone or tablet, the GDS emulator allows consultants to sign into their Sabre PCC using regular credentials to create, display and modify bookings; shop for fares and check queues as well as send itineraries.

Built on the latest HTML 5 platform, Sabre Pacific head of product Mark Mison said the new product was designed to “complement” the desktop version and give agencies more remote access.

“Via Abacus Mobile's simple and intuitive online portal, travel consultants can now provide value-added services that translate into greater customer retention, boosting sales and productivity," Mr Mison said.

“Sabre Pacific's ownership structure provides us access to cutting-edge solutions developed by Sabre Travel Network, Abacus International and Sabre Pacific.

“By leveraging the strength of our global partners, we can power growth for local businesses and ensure they have access to the latest most innovative products, no matter where they are developed.”
