South African Tourism is calling out to Australians searching for the ultimate holiday with their closest friends, to be a part of their next global advertising campaign 20 Experiences in 10 Days. Four lucky friends will become the stars of the tourism body’s 2013 push to encourage more Australians to discover the magic of South Africa, with the aim of highlighting that a trip to the Rainbow Nation is more than just a chance to tick a Big Five safari off their Bucket List. “We are looking for four adventurous, yet fun and typically laid back Australians, who have been long standing friends, looking to enjoy a trip of a lifetime in South Africa,” says Lalie Ngozi, General Manager, Australasia, South African Tourism. “Our country has so much to offer, and the 20 activities the winners will carry out are just a small representation of the remarkable memories on offer to travellers looking for an adventurous escapade full of enriching culture, warm and welcoming people and unsurpassed scenery.” Entrants must complete an Online Application Form by 19 November and short-listed entrants will then be required to attend casting auditions*, held in Sydney and Melbourne in November. The four winners will travel to South Africa in February 2013 with a production team who will capture their 20 experiences, including cage diving with Great White sharks, discovering the winelands of the Western Cape and a night out on the town in Johannesburg; and the resulting content will be played out across the country via a variety of communications platforms. “The 20 Experiences in 10 Days campaign has worked extremely well in other international markets that have in the past supported just two people, so we are excited to be offering this opportunity here to four friends for the first time. We know Australians love to get the most out of their holidays; and South Africa really does have it all,” concluded Ms Ngozi. *Applicants who are invited to audition are responsible for transportation costs to get to the audition venue. |
