Virgin provides full content to Sabre agents

Tuesday, 31 January 2012

Sabre connected-agents will now be able to book Virgin Australia domestic in addition to international through the GDS after the Australian carrier signed a full content distribution agreement with Sabre Travel Network.

Effective immediately, the deal allows Sabre-connected agencies and corporations to have access to real-time Virgin and Virgin Australia International content without surcharges.

Announced this morning, the agreement will also include fare families and ancillary sales fulfilment with Electronic Miscellaneous Document (EMD).

Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific vice president Hans Belle said signing onto the GDS company will allow Virgin to reach a large number of customers.

“Virgin Australia is a terrific partner that truly understands and appreciates the value of the Sabre GDS and we look forward to doing all we can to help the airline flourish,” Mr Belle explained.
