Wotif.com chief executive and managing director Robbie Cooke will resign at the end of the year. Wotif chairman Dick McIlwain was supportive of Mr Cooke’s ambitions. “After seven years of successfully leading the team at Wotif and managing the emergence of the company from private ownership into a class-leading ASX listed company he has informed me that he wished to step down to pursue an opportunity outside the travel industry,” Mr McIlwain said. “I know this decision would not have been an easy one given Robbie’s passion for Wotif and the online travel sector.” Mr Cooke will lend his support in finding a suitable replacement. “We are targeting an appointment around the end of this calendar year and we are confident that we can seamlessly transition to the new CEO with Robbie’s support,” Mr McIlwain said. |
