Abacus unveils time-saving AutomationHub

Monday, 15 October 2012

Looking to streamline travel agency operations, Abacus International has unveiled its new agents’ solution tool, Abacus AutomationHub.

Launched at the Abacus International Conference 2012, the new tool was designed to automate business processes and reduce time-consuming manual tasks through seven key modules including queue, fare record and service fee automation as well as automated messaging and ticketing of receipts.

With up to 72 percent of an average travel consultant’s time spent on various tasks such as finishing PNRs and checking queues, the group’s commercial and marketing vice president, Brett Henry, said the new system would save time and give “personalised options” to agents that could focus on other activities.

“Abacus AutomationHub is all about doing more with less – enabling our agency customers to win more of the travel pie, and to do so profitably, by driving business efficiency as a competitive advantage,” Mr Henry said.

According to Abacus, other modules will be introduced to the system further down the track.
