Snow hits Mammoth

Tuesday, 16 October 2012

Strap on those skis because snow showers have hit Mammoth Mountain in California this week bringing with it the first signs of what should be a great snow season with opening day coming up on the 8th November, 2012. Mammoth Mountain’s snow season can last as long as June and flights leave daily from San Francisco and Los Angeles so you can spend less time in the air and more time on the slopes.
Mammoth Mountain likes to play big numbers with:

  • 1.3 million visitors annually
  • 3,500 acres of terrain for all abilities
  • 10 metres of annual snowfall
  • 945 vertical metres
  • Top elevation of 3,369 metres
  • 150 named trails
  • 28 lifts
  • 300 days of sunshine each year
