Sheraton on the Park was again named “Australasia’s Leading Hotel” by the World Travel Awards 2012, held in Singapore on Thursday 18th October 2012. The hotel has won this prestigious award in different categories for the sixth year in a row, having had success in winning the award of Australasia’s Leading Conference Hotel in 2007, 2008 & 2009, Australia’s Leading Hotel in 2010 and Australasia’s Leading Hotel in 2011.

Established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence, the World Travel Awards are described by The Wall Street Journal as the ‘Oscars’ of the travel and tourism industry. This year, 213,000 travel professionals including travel agencies, tour and transport companies and tourism organizations in over 170 countries worldwide participated in the voting process for The World Travel Awards 2012. These awards are recognized globally by the travel, tourism and hospitality industry as the foremost recognition and acknowledgement of excellence in product and service worldwide.

Sheraton on the Park is extremely proud to receive this award in the month of October which has been a milestone for the property in 2012; coinciding with the unveiling of our newly refurbished Ambassador Suite, one of the largest and most luxurious suites in the city. Additionally, the award-winning restaurant Botanica Brasserie has been refurbished and was re-launched as “Feast – a world of flavours” and spoils guests with a superb international buffet with fresh seafood, Australian produce, gourmet pizza and home made bread to name only a few of the signature items.
