“The Art of Enjoyment” was the theme of an event series for media and trade recently hosted by the Vienna Tourist Board and organized by the Austrian National Tourist Office. Guests in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne were invited to immerse in Vienna’s famous coffeehouse culture and to learn how to make one of Vienna’s most famous sweet dishes – hands on. The participants showed a lot of enthusiasm when it came to peeling apples, stretching and rolling the dough to finally produce an authentic Viennese apple strudel. After the “Strudel Challenge”, guests enjoyed Viennese coffee specialties in a Vienna pop-up Coffeehouse and were updated on the latest news from Vienna, including recent and upcoming luxury hotel openings like the Ritz Carton, Park Hyatt and Hansen Kempinsky, new cultural spaces like the Vienna Boys Choir’s Concert Hall and the opening of the spectacular Kunstkammer in February 2013, arguably the world’s most precious collection of decorative objects and curiosities in the Kunsthistorisches Museum (Museum of Fine Arts).
