Laucala Island is pleased to announce Kurt Wachtveitl as its new Global Advisor as of Nov. 1, 2012.  A luxury hospitality industry legend, Wachtveitl brings an extraordinary 41 years of experience from his time with Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, at the helm of the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Bangkok as General Manager.

As the resort’s Global Advisor, Wachtveitl will spend annually four months on the island and work to increase Laucala’s visibility worldwide, supporting initiatives currently underway including the January 2013 launch of the resort’s new website, www.laucala.com.  Wachtveitl supports the management of the island, currently led by General Manager David Stepetic (d.stepetic@laucala.com), an American-born nineteen year veteran of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, as well as former Four Seasons executive and David’s wife Risako Stepetic.
