Cox and Kings’ business development manager Kyle Duffield is celebrating after taking out two top honours for his Bicheno beachfront property, Sandpiper Ocean Cottages, at the recent 2012 Tasmanian Tourism Awards. The stunning self-contained beachfront property just north of Freycinet National Park won Best Standard Accommodation and the prestigious People’s Choice Award. Sandpiper is owned and operated by Mr Duffield and his partner Tony McLeod. Mr Duffield has worked in the travel industry for over 20 years and when he's not selling travel to agents in Tasmania, he's promoting domestic and inbound tourism to showcase the magnificent east coast of the state. “These awards are such a huge achievement and we are thrilled to be recognised by both the industry and the consumer,” Mr Duffield said. “Working with travel agents, wholesalers and the public gives me a great insight into the current market, both inbound and outbound. If you love what you do it shines through, and we've obviously got the mix right.” The awards were announced during a gala dinner in Hobart on 9 November. |
