Queensland Shore gets a little Jersey

Snooki and the rest of the Jersey Shore gang could be partying in favour of Queensland tourism, with reports that the eight housemates want bring one of the final seasons of the hit ‘reality’ series to the Gold Coast shore.

Reports circulated that the cast could be heading down under after cast member, Michael Sorrentino told E Online that the wanted to head to Australia because the “girls are hot”.

Although widely known for their wild party habits, Queensland’s Tourism Minister Jan Jarratt, having never watched an episode, said the show would be considered an investment in the region’s industry, Bulletin reported.

"If the production crews are considering filming on the Gold Coast, I'm sure local industry would welcome the investment and activity associated with the shoot," she explained.

A Tourism Queensland spokesperson concurred, telling media that the cast would enjoy the region’s “vibrant nightlife” but did not touch on possible negative implications of hosting the MTV show.
