Air Mauritius won the distinction which is often referred to as the ‘Oscars of the travel industry’ last night. The World Travel Awards (WTA) rewards travel brands for their contributions made to the region’s travel sector over the last year. The award ceremony took place at the Intercontinental Hotel, Singapore in the presence of hundreds of key personalities and decision makers from the region’s top travel brands. Andre Viljoen, CEO Air Mauritius: “We are honoured to have received this accolade for the 8th consecutive year. Air Mauritius has consistently been the choice for half of Mauritius’s passenger traffic. I wish to thank our valued customers for choosing to fly with us and dedicate this award to Air Mauritius’s employees for their hard work. As excellence is a journey and not a destination, we will continue to be close to our customers’ needs and evolve our product and services in our constant pursuit of excellence.”
