Harvey World Travel celebrates successful business symposium

Wednesday, 31 October 2012

Harvey World Travel celebrated a successful Business Symposium which took place in Vietnam’s vibrant Ho Chi Minh City over the weekend.  More than 400 delegates from Harvey World Travel’s network of franchisees, business owners, industry suppliers and business partners gathered for the company’s fifth Business Symposium.

Delegates were taken off site for the official opening at the historic Reunification Palace and treated to performances by the vision-impaired children, supported by Harvey World Travel’s official charity, Loreto Vietnam Australia Program.

Managing Director of Harvey World Travel, David Rivers, says that bringing delegates together in this wonderful travel destination was the perfect choice for the company.

“It was a fantastic experience to have our colleagues and suppliers meet in this wonderful destination.  Harvey World Travel has been in the industry for over six decades and our events show that we continue to lead the way.  Over the weekend, our agents participated in leadership development workshops, listened to a series of great presentations from travel industry leaders
and learnt about the latest product on offer.”

Andrew Daddo took centre stage as this year’s Master of Ceremonies.  Highlights included: a key note address from Rob Gurney, CEO of Jetset Travelworld Group, David Rivers, Managing Director of Harvey World Travel, Tom O’Toole, and Jayson Westbury, Chief Executive at AFTA.

The major focus of the Symposium was the Service and Recognition Black tie Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony, where awards were presented across a range of categories as detailed below.  Winners include:
