Silversea has released details of its 2014 World Cruise – an epic 113-day voyage from Los Angeles to Barcelona aboard the ultra-luxury 382-guest Silver Whisper. From 6 January to 30 April 2014, the all-suite vessel will visit 54 destinations in 29 countries, including Australia and New Zealand. Karen Christensen, General Manager and Director Sales and Marketing Australasia for Silversea, commented: “The intimate Silver Whisper is ideal for this World Cruise designed for experienced travellers looking to venture to harbours and secluded waterways that larger vessels cannot access. Silver Whisper’s 2013 World Cruise has been a complete sell-out, so we recommend early bookings for this new 2014 voyage. “World Cruise guests will be able to immerse themselves in many cultures, with overnight visits and late-night departures in many ports, as well as a host of spectacular shore-side events, local entertainment, lectures, cooking demonstrations, wine tastings and more,” she added. Crossing the Pacific, Silver Whisper will visit Hawaii, Samoa, Tonga, Australia and New Zealand. From there, the ship will sail to the remote island of Koror and head west to spend a month exploring Asia - from China, Japan, and Vietnam to Thailand, Singapore and India - including three days in Yangon, Myanmar. The global voyage will finish in Europe, with visits to modern capitals and ancient cities in the Mediterranean. Extended time in port will allow travellers time for in-depth exploration, with two-night stays in Hong Kong and Yangon, and overnight visits to Sydney, Cairns, Shanghai, Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Singapore, Istanbul and Barcelona. Fares for World Cruise 2014 start at AU$50,950 per person, double occupancy, including all-suite accommodation with butler service, gourmet meals with menus designed by Relais & Châteaux, complimentary wines, Champagne and spirits served throughout the ship, and all gratuities. Those taking part in the full 113-day cruise will enjoy special amenities including a gala Bon Voyage evening at a luxury Beverly Hills hotel, baggage valet service, a generous onboard spending credit of US$5,000 per suite, complimentary laundry service and commemorative gifts. In addition, these guests will attend a range of complimentary shoreside events and Silversea Experiences which will take place over the duration of the voyage. In Hong Kong, guests will enjoy The Rising Dragon - a sumptuous dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel. From Bangkok, guests will fly to Siem Reap to experience Sunset Over Angkor Wat – staying overnight to explore and dine in the magnificent temple complex. And in Istanbul, guests will experience Supper in a Sultan’s Palace – a panoramic cruise along the Bosphorus, followed by dinner in the Ciragan Palace. |
