Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is maintaining its position as an industry leader with a recent win in the Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards and a nomination in the Queensland Tourism Awards.

The company, which is the region’s largest vacation ownership provider, is now in the running for two more prestigious accolades.

Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific was victorious at the October Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards, where it claimed gold in the monthly Tourism, Hospitality and Events category.

The Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards is acknowledged as the most prestigious of its kind in the Gold Coast region, and the monthly ceremony was attended by the winner of each of the nine categories.

This win qualified the company as one of six finalists in the 2012 Annual Gold Coast Business Excellence Awards, which will take place at Jupiters Casino on Saturday 24 November.

Barry Robinson, CEO and Managing Director of Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific, who proudly accepted the monthly award on behalf of the business, gave credit to the cohesiveness and unity of the entire team.

“Winning this accolade was truly a team effort, with the nomination demonstrating how the many areas of our business work together as one team to achieve exceptional results,” Mr Robinson said.

The company has also received a prestigious nomination in the Queensland Tourism Awards in the Unique Accommodation category, with the ceremony to take place on Friday 23 November in Brisbane.

The Queensland Tourism Awards recognise outstanding performers across the state, and Wyndham has been nominated for its dedication to creating a lifetime of holiday memories for its guests and vacation ownership Owners.

“The recognition we are receiving is the result of a combination of exceptional work ethics and dedication from each and every area within the company,” Mr Robinson said.

The company’s unique mixed-use model has also been vital in keeping Wyndham at the forefront of the tourism and hospitality industry.
